5 Bathtime Fun Activities
Bathtime is a great time to play, learn and bond with your child. But not all kids feel the same and it
can be a battle to keep them in the tub. So, we’ve made a list of 6 bathtime fun activities to keep them
happy and occupied while you wash behind their ears!
1.Simon says – Simon says touch your toes, Simon says touch your legs; both are great ways to
teach your child the names of their body parts. Or if they’re lucky enough to have a bath doll,
they could show you on their friend.
2.Bubble blowing – blow bubbles around the bath. Do they pop when they land? What colours
do they shine like? Can you catch a bubble? Always a super fun activity for both kids and
adults!
3.Drawing – grab some Honey Sticks Bath Crayons and let your child’s creativity flow. Made
of 100% beeswax makes them easy to draw on the inside of the bath, and they’re easy to
clean off too.
4.Block stacking – how tall can you build a tower before it tumbles? Use either the edge of the
bath or hold them in place on your legs. Our soft padded blocks make good in and out of the
bath toys. They’re also great learning tools to use for animal names, shapes and colours.
5.Pouring – you just can’t go past the old favourite of scooping and pouring water out of toy
buckets, cups and bowls. Use this time to teach some vocabulary including full, empty, pour
and splash.
Depending on the age of your child, they may also enjoy a bit of fizz by having our bath bombs or
some rainbow bath sprinkles to change the water colour. As for parents, it can be hard on our backs
doing a lot of bending at bathtime, so grab yourself a chair or stool and bring it in with you so you too
can stay for longer!
